2010 Elite Prospects Hockey Showcase Preview
Troy, MI: The 2010 Elite Prospects Hockey Showcase is almost underway at the in Metro Detroit, Michigan. This year marks the eighth annual Elite Prospects Hockey Showcase and the second year at the Troy Sports Center. The showcase will feature seven divisions of hard, fast, and competing hockey.
The 2010 Elite Prospects Hockey Showcase kicks off Thursday, April 22nd, 2010 at 5:15pm when USA Grey hosts USA Black in a Toews Division match-up. Eight games will be played on Thursday, with all six divisions seeing action. On Friday, April 23rd, all teams will take the ice. The ’97 Division and the Toews Division opens up play when USA White hosts USA Grey in the ’97 contest and Western Canada Red hosts USA Grey in the Toews trial. Puck drop is slated for 9:00am both games.
The Junior and ’98 Divisions start off the Saturday morning battle. Junior Black squares off verse Junior Gold at 9:00am, with USA Grey TI playing USA Blue. The Junior Division Semi-Finals finish off the night with the #1 team in the Cowen Division hosting the #2 team in the Cowen Division at 6:15pm and the #1 team in the Gagne Division hosting the #2 team in the Gagne Division also at 6:15pm. Sunday will bring all six 2010 Elite Prospect Hockey Showcase Division championship games.
